Drill down diagrams

I've been trying to figure out how to build a drill down diagrams for over an hour now and I've gotten no where. All I can find from the 'help' items is a description of what they are used for. I can't find anything that tells me HOW to build them. You really need a users guide.

In the built-in tutorial there is a diagram dedicated to creating subdiagrams, I recommend to look through it.
And if very briefly, there is the "Drill-down diagram" section in the object card, activate an entry in it and select "Create a new diagram". That's all — a new diagram is created.
However, it should be noted that if a diagram is protected from editing, you won't manage to create a subdiagram for its objects. Besides, some special kinds of objects do not support nesting.
