Attached is the first project I've made with InShort, converting a spare bedroom to an office. Overall, everything worked out fine. The program has a steep learning curve. Looking at examples other people have done is what made it finally click with me. The Nautilus example on the webpage was helpful. Hopefully folks will find my example helpful.

If anybody has any suggestions for how to improve this, I'm all ears.

There is a bug in the program! It's intermittent! Look at the Gantt chart. Notice that some of the tasks span overnight. Only one should. Go into the diagrams and notice that I have assigned a start date for those of 9AM in the morning. Those should not span the previous night, but some of them do! If this is my error, please enlighten me. As far as I can tell, I did everything correctly.

Congratulations, you have a pretty detailed plan.

However, with dates there is really confusion, as you have noticed, not all dates correspond to the specified calendar. This could happen if the calendar was corrected after the dates were assigned in the schedules. I recommend to activate the "Analyze diagram" option, this function normalizes dates according to the calendar. I'm interested to find out how it happened with the dates, if you can repeat this result, share how you did it, it will be very useful.

  • Still I would add a resource describing what should be the result of the process "Brainstorm layout", some document, a schematic? In what form?
  • You can also mark in the form of a resource what exactly and how you need to check after the work of an electrician and a cableman.
  • Perhaps after the painting you need to allocate time for drying the paint and the subsequent airing of the room, it is obvious that in this process the working resources will not be occupied.
