Major Scheduling issue

Hello,

I am new to the program but am already running into issues.  I keep getting locked out of changing the schedule.  Short of deleting all my work (that would really annoy me).  I seem to not be able to change the schedule at all.  In my particular case I asked the computer to analyze as a project.  It than changed all of my dates (without asking) and when I noticed and wanted to change them back it locked me out.  Please help I need the schedule to be fluid.
