Everything's right, nice to meet someone who is already familiar with TOC.
The thing is that in practice ALAP tasks do not correspond to the spirit of TOC. After all, any single task must be completed as soon as possible, but the group of tasks on a feeding path should be started as late as possible, and it should not be "automatic" solution, but managerial one. That is, a delay should be clearly framed in the diagram and confirmed by the user, the functionality of late starts, the supposed size of which will be calculated by the application during the analysis of the diagram, excellently fits for this purpose.
You can also set a milestone for the final goal of your project as the final resource in the diagram. Having a milestone, the application will calculate the possible start date of the project and shift the initial tasks accordingly.
