On Object type 'Diagram' there is a property Diagram Settings - Footer
What does it do ?
Can I set the text that would show up in a footer, and how ?

As I just noticed, there is one subtlety with this setting. First you need to specify in the application settings the string that will be displayed in the footer of the diagrams, then, which is not obvious, you need to exit the application and run it again. After these manipulations turning the footer on will cause it to appear on the diagram.

The need to restart the application will be corrected later.

Yes - I figured that out.

A handy feature ( that is not high priority ) would be the ability to add some macro text to the footer such
as *DATE*, *PAGE*, *PAGECOUNT*.  I keep back versions so I can compare what has changed, and these macros would make
that easier.

But again. not a high priority.
