[iCloud calendar]

Hi,

After further investigations, the issue concerns only syncing with my Microsoft Exchange account, using ActiveSync.
If I select my iCloud calendar in inShort's settings, events created with inShort are correctly updated. Also, if I create an event directly in the Calendar app and selecting the Exchange calendar in the list, events are also updated. But the problem occurs when I create the event within inShort and selecting the Microsoft exchange calendar. Events are no more updated but added for every changes in the inShort app.

ICloud sync was disabled. I tried with this feature enabled and disabled but with the same issue.
I also removed the app and then reinstalled it but the issue remains the same : InShort creates an event in the calendar for every version of one chart instead of adjusting the existed one.

In the past, with older InShort versions, this feature worked very well.

Hi Shortki,

It seems that something strange appears when I create a event in the calendar from the card.
When I select « Calendar » in the section « Calendar » and « Reminders », the task is created just as expected. But when the task is updated, changed or modified, I see new tasks created in the calendar instead of just adjusting the existed one. I have as many new tasks as adjusting actions in task’s card.

Do you know why ? Do you think this come from the settings ? Or is this a bug ?

I often use InShort app with projects which last for several days or weeks. All the features implemented in the Gantt chart section are very useful. But it appears that it's sometimes very difficult to take fully advantage of all the informations from this section, especially regarding resources workload. The graph becomes very tight. In order to use these charts fully, I wonder if you plan to add the ability to zoom in/out and to display a kind of "movable" vertical line along with some informations (date, time...) ?
You have implemented this kind of feature in tr.en.d app, in Summary section / Dynamics of balance. It's very useful !!
I think it could improve the interest of the Gantt chart section.

You're right. If I disable the additional section og the Gantt Chart, I can see it.

I send you attached ish-files. On my ipad (ios 10, ipad air 2), the file Ws17 05 works well, even the Gantt chart with the additional section but the other file Ws17 04, with the same settings, same resources, just different dates, doesn't work for Gantt chart with additional section.

Sorry this issue. Maybe it is caused by a very little thing...

Regarding this issue, I tried to change step by step some parameters. It seems that the resource assignment is directly the source of the bug.
I first removed all the resource assignments, ran the analysis and checked the Gantt view, and it worked well. So, it seems that calendars settings and the project are ok.

Then I added one by one the resource assignments to the objects and selected Gantt view each time. It worked well at the begining, but at a certain time, when I assigned an other resource to the next  object and checked for Gantt view, the app freezed, although this resource was previously assigned to an object of this project and I was able to view Gantt chart previously.

The parameters of the resources are correct, particularly the key. I think this is the first time I have this issue, which occurs now regularly, for every projects.

Do you think I must remove the app and install it again ? Or does this issue have an other cause ?

It came many times that running the analysis of a project works well (in flow chart view) but when I select Gantt chart view, the app freezes until it crashes.

This happens both on iOS and on Mac OS.

I thought this issue could come from the ressources assignment or the associated schedules, but it seems to me that there's no problem with them. With other projects using these ressources and schedules, all work well.

Why does Gantt view bugs even if the analysis is ok ? Is there any sensitive datas linked with the objects that could freeze the Gantt view even if the scheduled baseline is calculated ?

Hi Shortky,

As Inshort works with project buffer and critical path, I would like to know if you plan to implement a fever chart? The advantage is that we can have an historic view of the progress of the project. We can also think about a fever chart for all running projects and have an instantaneous overview of the state of them.
What do you think about this tool?

First, I want to Thank you sincerely for the recent improvements you added in Inshort app; they are really very useful !
My question is about the integration of datas in "Calendars". Adding an event based on the planned schedule works well. But I found an issue with the names of the events. I want to add the schedule of an object and create this event named "name of the folder - name of the object". The settings have been adjusted to do this. After running the analysis for the first time, every things work perfectly, but if I change one parameter and run the analysis again, the name of the folder is lost in Calendar. Only the name of the object remains in the event.
Do you know I did a mistake, or do you have any idea to fix it ?

Hi Shortki,

It may be very useful to refresh the time buffer not only when a process is completed. For exemple, the time buffer can be updated when we change the degree of completion of an object, before its completion.
This feature could help the project manager to have an accurate and live view of the projcet during long process and anticipate a reaction if needed before the completion of a process.

Hi,
I checked the points you listed. It appears that the exchange difference is generated according to a certain time. It never did that before, even for this specific hour (i.e. 01:00). If I set another time, the calculation is correct; I don't have any exchange difference anymore. At the specific time (01:00), the amount is doubled for the duration of the active period.
I'm sorry because I understand that it's a strange behaviour and I certainly did a mistake. But I don't see what.
So, I can now avoid the exchange difference.
Another thing, linked to currencies rate: the update of these rates is running but with no success. The Internet connexion is correct.
Maybe if I delete the app and install it again, it may be useful ?

Thank you for your suggestion. So I've deleted all the previous records which I suppose generated the exchange difference and after that, I had no "exchange difference".
But every new record, whatever the category I select, generate a new "exchange difference" which is very high ! For exemple, an income of 48,11€ generate a exchange difference of the same amount : 48,11€.
Do you have any idea what happens and how I can remove this action from new records ?
