Quite strange, not typical behavior.

Did this behavior occur immediately after installation?
Or after creating/uploading certain diagrams, in this case could you send me their exports?

Is iCloud enabled, if so, try disabling it.
2  General Category / / Re: Queues, search and other features not yet implemented ? (or that I can't find !) on: July 07, 2017, 09:37:34 pm enables collaboration for multiple users, therefore, individual service functions have a significant difference in implementation compared to the inShort application.

In particular, the Queues functionality becomes much richer, and I need some time to work through the concept of multi-user queues. This will not only be a mechanism for ranking current tasks, but also a means of allocating and assigning work to participants in the working group. Also, Queues will become a mechanism for sending notifications about current tasks. Therefore, Queues is an important stage in the subsequent development of the service, which needs to be thought over carefully.

The Task Calendar function also needs to be worked out.

The search in is similar to inShort and is available in reports, you only need to preconfigure any report.

In, there is no tactical coloring and various graphical styles of the diagrams, as drawing the graphics in a browser is not fast enough for these features. Also there are no proxy objects, as they can become a source of problems when working together. Illustrations in PDF format are not supported, as not all browsers support it, by the way, and vice versa, inShort does not work with SVG, since macOS does not have appropriate support.

In other respects, the systems are as much as possible identical.

Yes, it's very simple. Just copy and paste the project folder to a new location.

Sorry, you did not say, and I decided that you are talking about the macOS version of the application, since this question appears more often in it.

Using iOS, in the Options menu, select the "Send & Load the diagram" section, where you can always generate a PDF file for the flow diagram, Gantt chart or reports. The versions of the application are functionally identical, but on macOS it is somewhat more convenient to work with diagrams.

I myself really like tr.en.d as it is, so I do not change it, I just use it every day. Of course, if the application stops running on some new iOS, I will update it, but without modifications and significant changes, I will simply adapt it to the requirements. Otherwise, if you do not use iCloud synchronization (which is not very reliable), then the application works fine.

If you save PDF via the printing interface of Mac OS, a PDF file with all the subdiagrams and working links between them will be generated. I did not allocate this export as a separate item, since the standard interface is quite convenient for this purpose, allowing you to select paper size and set of required pages. Also you can copy a part of the diagram and paste it into another application. Most of Apple's applications support inserting PDF data, so in my work I did not feel the need for raster formats, but I'll think about the possibility of exporting the current diagram in PNG or JPG files.
7  General Category / / A closed beta test of the service is started on: March 20, 2017, 04:26:05 pm
Active users of inShort inShort received invitations to closed beta testing of

If you have any questions or you want to join the beta testing of the service, you can contact the developers at

Based on feedback on the weekly work of the service, a decision will be made about the end of the test and the public launch of the project.
8  General Category / inShort / Re: pre-purchase questions on: February 21, 2017, 11:01:08 pm
A general browse though the features, this app seems very nice, however I do have a few questions before I decide to buy it:
1. In stead of drilling down, is it possible to create the tasks etc. and later group them into a higher level?
Yes. You can freely copy and paste parts of the diagram, transferring them between different levels of the hierarchy. This can also be done automatically, but at the cost of loss of schedules.

2. Is it possible use custom pics for the blocks in Diagrams?
Yes. An object can be supplemented with a graphic image from the image library on the device. If the object is large enough to accommodate the image with a reasonable reduction, it will be shown in a blank area of the object.

3. Does a created file sync across devices?  Although I prefer using any NAS drive, but public cloud drives are also acceptable.
Yes, the selected diagrams can be synchronized by means of iCloud, but with some limitations. You can also export diagrams and load them to the application on other devices.

10  General Category / Suggestions for improving the program / Re: Recurring projects, processes on: February 18, 2017, 06:31:32 pm
Iterative process management is a whole science. If everything is done properly, the application will become greatly more difficult in mastering, and it is not the easiest anyway Smiley

So far, I recommend to arrange repetitive processes by copying diagrams and restarting them, in fact it is a simple and effective technique, which has a number of advantages.
11  General Category / F.A.Q. / Re: How to restart whole diagram/project in one click? on: February 18, 2017, 06:30:40 pm
It's pretty simple — uncheck the completion mark for the first objects of the first diagram, and all the schedules will be removed at once. If you start a project from a single object, then the schedule of the whole project can be controlled by the schedule of this object.

I am glad that you liked inShort, hopefully, your projects will also be satisfied with the program.

If during passing User guide you accidentally damaged it and cannot move on, use the option “Restore the Guide", it is available in the application settings.
15  General Category / inShort / Re: Resource Overloading? on: February 13, 2017, 10:04:29 pm
In your case, you can use the following trick, create two work resources for yourself, and for each of them assign a calendar that does not overlap the other. For example, from morning till 4pm you are doing one project according to one calendar, and according to the other calendar from 4pm you are doing the other project, or move calendars apart by day of week.

When you change the calendar, the application takes into account what time was specified. If initially the natural time in the natural calendar was specified, the application tries to keep the time frame of the period, if working time was specified, the period varies in accordance with the efficiency of the assigned resources, while maintaining a constant amount of work.
