1  General Category / Your diagrams / Re: Convert Bedroom to Office (buggy) on: July 19, 2018, 03:55:36 AM
Congratulations, you have a pretty detailed plan.

However, with dates there is really confusion, as you have noticed, not all dates correspond to the specified calendar. This could happen if the calendar was corrected after the dates were assigned in the schedules. I recommend to activate the "Analyze diagram" option, this function normalizes dates according to the calendar. I'm interested to find out how it happened with the dates, if you can repeat this result, share how you did it, it will be very useful.

  • Still I would add a resource describing what should be the result of the process "Brainstorm layout", some document, a schematic? In what form?
  • You can also mark in the form of a resource what exactly and how you need to check after the work of an electrician and a cableman.
  • Perhaps after the painting you need to allocate time for drying the paint and the subsequent airing of the room, it is obvious that in this process the working resources will not be occupied.

Yes that's right. For such cases, ish-files are intended.
3  General Category / inShort / Re: How to delete Projects - macOS 10.13.4 on: April 19, 2018, 02:38:25 AM
You are trying to delete a project from the User's Guide. Most of the diagrams in the manual are protected from editing, you need to open the properties of the diagram and remove the blocking of the changes. After that you can without obstacles remove the project you do not need.

It is supported but does not develop, do you have some specific question?
5  General Category / Bug reports / Re: Cards disappear on nodes when I try to edit them on: April 08, 2018, 04:58:18 PM
I figured out what the problem is, but I need some time to fix it.

So far I recommend using iPad in portrait mode when working with an object card in the application, this should fix the problem.

Yes it is a bug.
Describe in more detail what device you use, the version of the iOS.

Thanks for the investigation.

It looks like the ID of the event is changing in the course of ActiveSync's work. In this case, app can not find the previous event for update.

I tested this function on my devices. I did not find any problems - the event is updated, not created. I will test further.
9  General Category / Bug reports / Re: Create an event in the calendar on: March 28, 2018, 10:47:19 PM
If iCloud synchronization is enabled for the chart, an event can be created for each version of the chart. The link to the calendar event is different for different devices, so it's difficult to make this process uniform for all devices.
10  General Category / Bug reports / Re: Why can't I add resources? on: February 22, 2018, 09:06:06 AM
First you need to create a new resource. Just click on the sign "+" left below of the form
11  General Category / General Discussion / Re: ShortBook iPhoneX on: February 12, 2018, 01:50:48 AM
Adapting the ShortBook to the iPhone X itself is not difficult, but adapting to the requirements of iOS 11 is quite complex and requires significant rework — I need to allocate time for this.
12  General Category / F.A.Q. / Re: iOS Gantt Chart does not show items on: February 12, 2018, 01:49:45 AM
The application tries to build a Gantt chart based on the time parameters you enter. If no time estimate (expected execution time, planned schedule, schedule) was specified for an object, then the object will not be displayed on the Gantt chart. Specify any of the parameters.

Also, if the diagram structure assumes that the object can never be activated, then the Gantt chart cannot be built. This happens, for example, when an object depends on itself and its execution can begin only after its completion, which in itself is nonsense. Check the structure of links between objects.
13  General Category / inShort / Re: I'm a bit confused by drill down ... on: January 24, 2018, 04:41:10 PM
That's right.
I want to supplement, sometimes subtasks are completed regardless of the result of the process performed in them. In such a situation, it is logical to connect the criterion for completing the diagram to processes.
14  General Category / inShort / Re: Getting started InShort first and then transition to workflow.link on: November 08, 2017, 01:16:15 AM
Thank you for the appreciation of the application and for a good question.

workflow.link and inShort complement each other, inShort is more convenient at the stage of elaboration and personal research of the project, then the initiative is intercepted by workflow.link where the teamwork and interaction of the project participants is available.

To transfer a project to workflow.link, you need to create the project export file in the WFL format in inShort, which is easily imported into workflow.link
The entire process usually takes less than a minute.

You can always ask for help here or by e-mail, usually within 24 hours I try to give an answer (if it is not so, just duplicate the letter).

Special thanks for understanding, if inShort can be developed on my own, then in the case of workflow.link I need investments for development.
15  General Category / F.A.Q. / Re: Use of resource pack as folder to group common resources or common processes. on: November 01, 2017, 02:36:27 AM
In the normal course of a project, a folder is used only once to put the project into it. All other nested diagrams must be inside other processes and resources. This is quite normal if a business process associated with a resource is nested in it (Answers 1, 4, 5).

When you split a project into separate diagrams, you sort of lay out the workspaces, which operate with a limited set of resources and must be explicitly represented on the diagram. This separation of the project itself is an important part of planning, in this way you differentiate the levels of competence, detail and responsibility.
Thus, everything that is needed for a process/resource should be represented in the diagram or should be in the diagram embedded in the process/resource (Answers 3, 6).

Do not limit yourself, everything that makes the business process clearer and can be done in the application should be done (Answer 2).
